I get so excited every month when I know my Birchbox has been shipped, it is like a surprise present! This months I really enjoyed, have a read through and see what I thought of the individual products.
I buy a lot of benefit’s make up products but I have never used their skin care range so I was really happy to see this eye cream in this months box. Firstly, the packaging is beautiful, I mean how cute is the pot the eye cream comes in!
I have only used this for a couple of days now so I haven’t noticed that my under eye area is much brighter but I will update you if I do notice any change.
The consistency is quite thick, (but that just means you don’t need a lot), and I am not 100% sure on the smell but it did leave my underneath of my eyes feeling really soft and smooth.
I am going to keep using this product to see if my under eye does brighten and if it does I am definitely going to purchase the full size product.
I normally love citrus smelling products but I am not a big fan of this one, it doesn’t really smell like the other citrus products I have previously bought and reminds me of a deodorant my boyfriend used to use…not for too long though, as I bought him a different one I did like the smell of!
I tried using this body milk and it made my skin feel quite smooth but the smell was just too over powering for me so I won’t be using it again.
This isn’t a product I am going to be purchasing and if I’m honest I will probably give this away to a friend or family, (someone that likes the smell).
I have been using argon oil for the past year or so and normally swear by it but I used this healing oil and not only does my hair feel great, it also smells amazing!
As I bleach and colour my hair almost every 6 weeks I am always looking for new products to help stop my hair from feeling dry and brittle and I think this is now a firm favourite.
Although the sample size is only quite small, you only need a tiny amount to run through the ends of your hair so I can see this lasting a few more washes. I am going to buy the full size product, which at around £15 for small bottle is a bargain, especially as it will last so long.
Over the past few months I have noticed a lot of people have received this beauty blender in their boxes, so I have waited patiently for mine. I didn’t want to buy a beauty tool that I would only use once, (especially when it costs £26).
I like this product and I think the soap to clean the blender with is a really nice touch. I am just not sure I would like to pay full price for one. I think it does a good job and is very good for when you do contour by ensuring the highlighter, foundation and contouring products are blended properly.
I just think there are probably products that are a lot cheaper out there which could do the same thing!
I have been looking for a new mascara, I am not sure on the one I have been currently using, and this is a ideal replacement.
I don’t normally like thick brushes on a mascara wand as I am now so used to the thinner plastic brushes but this really did surprise me. My eyelashes do seem a lot longer and thicker than they did with my previous mascara.
The description on the Model Co website states this mascara has staying power, which it really does! It has lasted me over 12 hours during the day without flaking or smudging and it actually comes off when you use make up remover.
I have found in the past that when a mascara has been described as having staying power, that means good luck removing your eye make up at the end of the day!
If you are not sure which mascara to try next I would definitely recommend this Model Co Power Lash mascara.
I loved most of the products from my Birchbox this month and I am now really looking forward to next months!

I used to really envy BirchBox subscribers but never really got round to it – and recently their boxes have seemed a bit hit and miss, although there have been good products in all of them still. Tempted to sub to a few boxes around Christmas though, as those ones usually seem awesome!
